Risto glared sideways at the Coolie. "Do you even understand?" he muttered. "We already have enough mouths to feed. We don't need more mouths." He snapped, whipping his head around to glare at Vicci. Although she was a cat, he was sure his words did have some meaning in them--and he was pointing out that they shouldn't accept anymore strays into their group. Risto glanced at Gavroche, feeling a little offended for the female feline. Idiot. First, you rebuke her, now you feel sorry for her. Sighing, he sat down, tucking his paws in, and doing his best to wrap his short tail around his paws. As he waited for the feline's response, he noticed Teegan and Dusty padding out of the building. He murmured about them being safe, before fixing his full attention on Vicci.
Dusty padded confidently out of the building, pausing to throw a quick, worried glance at Micah. The fae seemed not to be interested in the new feline; she was sitting down, watching the rest of the group challenge Vicci. Dusty snorted.
"Can't believe i'm saying this, but Risto has a point. We definitely don't need another mouth, nor another cat." He muttered, half to himself and half to Teegan, not caring if she heard or not. He trotted out, feeling the night wind ruffle his pelt playfully, but he ignored it. Ears alerted, he raised his muzzle and sniffed the air.
Sure is dry out here, he observed, glancing around. He spotted the ferns waving wildly for a moment, before it settled down. He wasn't sure if it was the wind, but he anyway crept up to it. He tasted the ferns, and immediately softened his pawsteps. The ferns carried an unfamiliar prey scent, and when it waved again, he pounced onto the ferns, feeling the soft tickle of fur. He bent down and swiftly gave a killing bite to its neck, before tugging it out from the ferns to examine it.
"Vole." He murmured, flipping the body over to see its face. "Definitely a vole." He had never tasted it or seen it before, but he recognized the scent when his owner used to go out for walks near the crevices and lakes. Picking up the kill by its scuff, he padded back to Teegan and dropped it in front of her.
"Seems like the preys' running," he observed, nudging the vole closer. "I think we should bury the prey here, then come back to pick it up?" he suggested, making the last words sound like a question.
((I won't be on FH for about four days, starting tomorrow. I'm on vacation with my family. If I can, I will get on my mom's computer, if she does bring it. But just to let you know, if you really have to, you can either powerplay my characters or leave them out from the RP. When I get back, I'll catch up with you. ^.^))
