i made a marking but...
« on: May 29, 2013, 02:59:16 pm »
so i used the canine shade as a template erased it and had the marking black BG and the white marking with the eraser (using gimp as i have no other tool but MS paint)
i saved the marking as PNG in textures as "TRI"
added it to the bottom of the canine body in markings.cfg as "TRI;CmarkingTRIbody.png
i've got it in game but when i click it, it comes up as the original FH skeleton body marking..
did i do something wrong?

Hmm, Try reviewing this a little to see if you made a mistake along the way. I forget nearly everything I knew about marking making but this might help a bit.

I think I see the error.

TRI;CmarkingTRIbody.png

This bit here is supposed to be the image name. Like you have said, you named yours "TRI.png", you should rename that to cmarkingTRIbody.png to match the .cfg file.

So pretty much make the image match the name in the markings.cfg file ;)
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

this is what i do but no matter how much i edit it or copy another marking name and remove its name with my markings in game it just continues to show as skeleton markings... :L

i put it as Swirlz;cmarkSwirlzBody.png in markings and in textures as cmarkSwirlzBody (png file)
