As Billy was about to open the old front door to their borrowed ranch house, a nearby commotion caught his attention. Figuring he'd better investigate, he shoved the door open and entered the house, plopping down the few log of fire wood on the table. "There's somethin' going on outside." He murmured to Elizabeth, adjusting his Stetson. "I gotta go check it out. Stay here." He instructed, quickly pushing the front door back open without pausing to allow Elizabeth time to respond. Billy stood on the porch, waiting to see if there would be another scream, which quickly came. It's a woman. he thought to himself, giving him all the more reason to investigate. Spitting in the dirt, he drew both of his side-arms, pulling back the hammer on both pistols to make sure they were fire-ready. Without further delay, he hurried down the porch just as the stranger screamed inaudible words again. He traced the sounds not far into town, where he found some men holding a woman clearly against her will, and an impatient looking horse. He cracked a half smile and rolled his neck, always happy to intervene in situations like this. "Hey!" He shouted at the men, holding the pistols up. "Come on, now. That ain't no way to treat a lady." He tilted his head with a slight smirk, moving his arms so the pistols were aimed at two of the men holding her.
