Blaze swung his head around in surprise at the child's sudden awakening. Whimpering, he clambered under the chair to keep himself from her tight hold again. Billy raised an eyebrow and smirked at the retreating border collie, then glanced back at Bella, shifting uncomfortably again. "Damn I wish she wouldn't call me that...." He murmured, half to himself and half outloud.

Bella crawls into his lap excitedly. "I'm so happy you're back!"

"Uh- yeah-" Billy sat back quickly as the girl climbed up on him. He shot Elizabeth a pleading gaze as Blaze clambered away to keep his distance from the child.

Elizabeth laughs. Bella cuddles up to him, sighing softly.

Billy flashed an awkward smile and patted the girl's back with his left hand, clenching his teeth. "Get this damn kid off me." Hee murmured to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth sticks her tongue out at him. "Do you snt some pie?

"Nah. I'm ok." He replied, in processes of prying the child off of him. Blaze made his way over to Elizabeth at the mention of food. He sat down at her face, staring hopefully up at her.

Silly dog, ain't I already fed you?" she laughs and tosses him a piece of chicken. Bella whimpers. "What's wrong?"

The border collie scrambled after the chicken, munching it down contently. Billy raised an eyebrow at Bella. "Oh. Heh. Nothin' kid. Why don't you run along and play." He insisted, giving her a nudge as he set her down on the ground. "Hey! Your momma ever teach ya how to ride, yet?" He questioned.
