1) Fur textures are the textures that make your character look like it has fur. They are automatically applied to characters you make ingame. You can download other fur textures people make if you want a different look. You would only need to manly put on fur textures if you were making a preset.
2) Well, making items is VERY hard, you have to use a 3D modeling program and code them into the game.. here is the link to the mass items pack, which includes my (and delays') own ->

Click here to go there!. People will usually include a ReadMe file in the download, which will tell you how to install them. Most of the time, you simply put all the files into your 'exports' folder in the main FH folder, which is found on the C: drive of your computer. Once installed, a portal to the map should appear in Cape of Distant Worlds.
I totally have the same problem with the session timing out. Not something I've ever been able to fix.
