Why is the server offline?

Can someone tell me why the server is offline?

is anyone really online? it says that over 200 players are on and I do log in, only loading takes forever and message saying "failed to connect to the map server" appears.

Please try to avoid posting your problems on someone else's thread. Try to make your own thread next time.

And the reason for that being is Lonely Cave is somehow refusing to cooperate and, as far as I know, is the only map that's failing to connect to the main server. So if you're starting off in Lonely Cave or on a new character, you won't be able to connect to the map nor the server. I say you try to get online on one of your older characters, if you have any, that's located in separate maps. You should be able to connect and get online then.

I've seen many forums, I know that. But are you telling me that I should have opened new topic because of these simple question? I think topic isn't opened in right section either. I just didn't want to open new topic where  probably nobody would look sorry. Yes I know about old chars in private maps, I logged on them. But thisr char is at stone bridge and I still can't log in

Hmm, well, I do know that right now the server still isn't 100% repaired. So there's a chance that the hard drives are still a bit unstable, thus having difficulties keeping open some of the maps. I may be wrong and there may be other maps that are glitching and having their moments. Though I do believe that South Pole is working for I've just been there. If you have a character there, you can try logging on that one but if it doesn't work, then it's most likely the server and not you.
