Iddo blinked, opening his eyes slowly. Stretching, he uncurled himself from the bottom of the lake, a yawn escaping his mouth. A burp escaped his mouth, and a few bubbles formed around his face. Chuckling, the dragon followed the bubbles up, his tail swishing in the water. Disappointment churned inside of him as the bubbles popped, disappearing into the liquid substance. A sigh escaped his mouth. Life here was boring--there was hardly any creature lurking around near the shore. Once, he almost got in engaged in a conversation, but the creature had fled. Squinting, Iddo tried his best to remember the type of species the creature was...ahh, yes. A Pegasus.
He, himself, had never seen one before. When he first laid eyes on the creature, it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. But perhaps he had spooked the Pegasus with his looks. Blinking, Iddo shrugged. Whatever. That was the past.
Movement caught his eye as the dragon glanced up. Something was moving on the water. Interested and suspicious, Iddo floated up to investigate. He couldn't sniff to detect the creature, so he was forced to push his body through the water. As he did, his body blasted out of the water, and his eyes laid on a pretty creature sitting alone near the edge of the pond. Tilting his head to one side, he studied her, wondering what it was. Clearing his throat, his neck stretching closer to examine the newcomer.
"Hello there, beautiful lady!" Iddo called cheerfully, splashing the water in a friendly manner. "What brings you here on this fine day?" he inquired, the question he usually asked to engage creatures to a conversation.
