help with transparency in material file please?

Hi.I'd like to make a transparent character but i wish to reduce opacity only via the material file,without reducing it with gimp.is it possible doing so using alpha rejection greater equal 128 and scene blend alpha blend?

Hello, love. Sorry I didn't get to ya sooner. I would recommend using Alpha Blend. Gimp, I trust more though.
