Nekoda narrowed his eyes at the orca as she spoke of the warm water before going up to get a breath. "It's okay! I have to do that, too!" The dolphin squeaked with a grin, shooting up in the water to take a breath of air, then diving back down to the orca. "See!" He clicked, a grin still plastered on his beak. "Wait- you don't like warm water? It's always warm here!" Nekoda exclaimed, more in confusion than anything. "Are you from the south where the water's freezing?"
Manoah picked up the limp, torn open carcass of the jackal and disappeared into the brush, padding silently to not attract any attention from unwanted predators that could easily kill him. The carcass swaying in the thylacine's jaws with each stride, Manoah adjusted his grip as he leaped down to the thicket where his hyena friend was sleeping. Keeping quiet to not wake Saka, he set down the carcass in front of the hyena, nudging it towards him before curling up nearby and falling asleep.
The black leopard's tail flicked back and forth while he drank, his eyes scanning the waterfalls ahead for movement. Thirst quenched, Shadow raised his head, licking his maw with his rough tongue. Rising back to his fours, he stretched his strong forelegs and let out a huff before turning and padding back into the thick forest.
