Ice heard him, but didn't take any heed. Once he had gotten to his cave, he stopped. Genesis was dead, he knew that. The least he could do was watch the stars and make sure she made it safely, if she made it. He didn't understand pack laws or anything, but he could do it for one wolf he had at least come close to trusting. Ice skidded down the mountainside and sat on a wide, open bluff, not caring he was in pack territory. All he wanted to do was see if she made it.
