Aspen lifted his head, and looked to the setting sun. He gathered the herd, "Everyone, we will go deeper into the forest now. Finish eating." He walked to the edge of the clearing, and flicked his tail, gathering the herd, "Come, if we want to stay alive in the morning, we need to get moving.. before predators come." He galloped into the darkness, the herd following.

bella moved her little legs fast to keep up with the herd

Mollie looked at Buddy and raised a brow as they contunued through the fields, her tail wagging as the group of canines spread out and began to sniff around and search for the different scents. The humans shouted things to eachother as they parted a small distance away. "Think we'll find anything?" She asked the male brittany with a tilt to her head "Well, it depends if the prey have passed through here.." He muttered shrugging. Nodding her head to show she understood the female beagle padded through the fields her snout lowered to the ground.


Rizzo padded through the fields with Charlie by her side, the younf put observing how to hunt and learning quickly. Padding through the fields they lowered their snouts to the ground.

[Howl at the Moon]

Macaroni followed his owner, who was partnered up with Rizzo and Charlie, and their owner. He fell a bit behind them, taking the time to sniff each prey scent. He continued on until he smelled a buck scent. He lifted his head and barked to Rizzo and Charlie, "I found buck scent! The antlers are about 2x2." He tugged on his master's leash, trying to follow the scent, which lead towards the meadow.

Rizzos head whipped around as Macaroni spoke "Nice job!" She barked and bounded over sniffing the scent "Seems pretty close, let's go!" She barked whipping around and barking at the humans behind them. Catching their attentions they picked up the pace and she turned to see Charlie not to far behind. The young retriever sniffed the ground a few times then noticed it was deer. Excitement filled the pup and his tail wagged, dipping his head like the others he picked up the pace and followed the scent.


Mollie let out a grumble as they hadn't found anything so far, she looked at the other beagle in the distance and he shook his head. Growling she began pacing back and forth trying to find a scent. "Over here!" Buddy barked and let out many barks to alert the humans a herd seemed to have passed. Once the other canines got to the scent "Its a herd, but judging by the scent they're on the move and quite far away!" With that the ground followed the scent. Mollies tail wagged as she kept her nose close to the ground.

Macaroni followed the scent, Rizzo and Charlie following it as well. Macaroni barked happily, "We got 'em now!" He started into a slow gallop, following the scent.
  Soon enough he reached the clearing of the meadow. The buck was there, grazing. He looked at Rizzo and Charlie, "There he is." He whispered. The humans arrived and praised the three dogs, then got ready for the shot.



Cheese was working with Mollie and Buddy. Her brother, Macaroni, was working with Rizzo and Charlie. She snapped to attention as Buddy alerted them he found a herd scent, "Good job!" She barked, sniffing the scent. She put her nose on the ground and followed, the scent. She barked, "There are two bucks in the herd." She halted and looked at a tree. Part of the tree was scraped off. She yipped and put her paws on it, then looked at the humans.

Amise paused to bend down and nose through the grass, and she glanced up to see a herd not far off. Focusing back on her grass, she was about to open her mouth when a sharp yip made her jerk her head up. Surprise flickered in her to see four dogs bounding towards the direction of her. Still taking no chances, the doe turned and shot off, weaving through the trees in fear that the hunters were aiming for her. She was sure that her alarm would spread through the herd - they weren't very far from where she was standing. Licking her nose to moist it, she sniffed the air, noting that the hunters would still have the chance to aim for her. Stumbling farther into the forest, she paused once and a while to sniff the air for any scent of enemies.

Mollie came to a sudden stop as she watched a large, slim figure bound through the forest. Sniffing the air she realised it was a deer and whipped around. Barks escaping her maw and Trent nodded "Doe!" He shouted and let out a fire from the gun. The bang echoed through the forest as the bullet shot through the air; missing the doe by an inch "Dang!" He cursed and stomped a foot at the ground. Buddy snarled and follwed the direction the doe had went in, Mollie and the others hurrying to the herd. The brittanies legs extended and paced back and fro as he bounded after the slim best.
