Making Particles?

Hi everyone!
I have been dying to make some particles.
I open up ".Particle" with Notepad and..I am quite surprised I didnt see a whole bunch of random symbols but just plain coding, I have no Idea where to start.
Some one help meh o3o?

I'm no expert with making particles or even meshes, but I think you should check out this link; http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=11025.0 It shows how to work with Bender, and Bender is what you need to start meshing and making particles. I didn't have time to read the entire thing, so hopefully there's something about making particles in there. Good luck.

You can download the particle editor program from the Ogre website, but it is very laggy and I haven't been able to get any particles i've made to work in-game without it crashing. But maybe someone else knows how to work with it better
