Really odd map problem! Please help
« on: September 01, 2013, 02:20:59 pm »
So I've been working on some chain maps. I made one for the 'moonstone' (if you read Warriors you'll know what that is) and connected it to another map. I wanted to test the portal out, so I went on actual FH. When I entered Cape Portal, I searched for my map, but couldn't find it. I went on the main map, since it has a portal to that certain map, but instead of 'Moonstone', the portal said 'Enter at your own risk'. I went in it, and on the little map box on the corner, it had the moonstone height map. Weird 'trolly' music was playing, and there was a deep hole in the middle. Can someone tell me why this is happening? I've been working on these maps for a while, and I really want them to work.

And also, when I entered the main map, the downloaded meshes I had put on the map were gone. Ex. Only the oak trees showed, but the birch trees I added were gone.

I'm not sure what's happened to your Moonstone map..  :-\ Sounds very odd...
But with downloaded meshes and objects they should have their own object group..so I've heard. So instead of putting the birch trees in the MyTrees object group, make a different group and add them to it.

You're welcome ^^. I've never heard of the other problem coming up before, but the only thing I can think of is maybe someone, perhaps a sibling, has gone into FeralHeart and tampered with the map.  :-\ But other than that, I'm lost.

When was this? May it have been when general was messing up FH?

i very much doubt the turning off of general would have caused this, seen as general still works on maps it shouldn't effect them at all.

True, but all of FH was glitching madly for a while, messing up maps and portals and usernames.

Hmm. True. Any chance of a hacker managing to get into your computer? (Unlikely I know, but still.)
