New laptop can't download Fh

Well, I just got a new laptop last night. -Windows 8 Dell laptop- I downloaded Feral Heart and it worked perfectly fine until this morning when I started downloading and working on my maps. I also downloaded August 22 and the Sky Nebula interface. I could get the game open, sure, but when I tried to get on ANY of my characters it crashed. So I deleted Feral Heart. I've spent all day combing through my files deleting anything entitled Feral-Heart. But, sadly, every time I try to download Feral Heart again it won't let me. I mean, it goes through the whole process but when it finishes and is about to open Direct blah blah it says there was an error or something. This is making me really mad and I've spent about $600 dollars -all my chore, birthday, gift, and art money combined- to buy this computer.

You just have to download the latest version of DirectX - DirectX 9.0 If you already have it, then I'm afraid I don't know how to help you.

When I recently got my new laptop it first didn't allow my game to play, that's because it didn't have the new Direct X installed. When you get the setup for the game, it automatically has that Direct X in it, so when it gives you that option go ahead and install it. If it still continues and you cant get in, try to run the game as Administrator.

But if he had his Feralheart working, i dont think he could have directx missing.
Maybe you got your game rendering system changed.
Try to change it by editing with notepad the files ogre.cfg and config.good

in ogre.cfg check the first line if you have
Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
or
Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem
and swap them depending on what you have and save.

In config.good open the file and change the number you have for 11 and save.

Now try to open your game again, let us know if the problem persist.

Did you actually saved it on your comuter or just ran it? But I would go to the downloads again and try to get the FH download one more time. If that dosnt work try the torrent in the download section

actually this recently happened to me today and this is how i fixed i: go to your start menu hten go press the search button. press search all files and folders then search for feralhear. if anything comes up delete then go to your recicle bin and delete all thos feralheart files from there so they are gone completely. then try and download the game again. hope this helps

Oh my gosh, don't remind me dear >.<. This happened to me one million times and I lost my whole work and I got so sad and and angry in the same time. I'm afraid you should delete everything that you had that was for FH even the objects ect. Then shut down your laptop to refresh and do it all over again. The error should be your files are corrupted or you lacked something that made it crash. Thats why you should always think smart when extracting stuff.. or then POOF.
