Snow Shoe did not follow Watcher into the water, instead he trotted beside the river.  If he ran he would have left Watcher far behind because his legs were so much stronger and longer, build for running.  Sand Vorox needed a large amount of land for the large packs.  They were also extremely territorial.  Snow Shoe was hoping for a tiny Forest Vorox group that hardly bothered anyone unless threatened.  It was strange that Sand Vorox took land in the forest when they lived in an open area, mostly in underground tunnels.  So Snow Shoe wasn't surprised to see the forest thinning out into a meadow with long flowing grass.  He would not be happy here.  His preferred living space was the forest but he could live in a snowy place if he wanted.
"This could be were there camp is.  But I don't see anyone."  He warned.

"Well." Watcher said. "Either thier all hiding, whch I doubt, or they haven't caught up to us yet. Either one, lets hope we don't meet them."

Snow Shoe was weary about about going out into the open but going into the forest on the sides would have just as much danger.  What didn't want to be doing is staying in one place, which was what he was doing.  He desided you lower his tail to show he wasn't threatening them and hope they would let him pass.  It was unlikely but worth a try.  He started to walk into the clearing.

Watcher followed him, tsting he air warily as they moved through. "I smell vorox." He growled. "Lots of them."

The first Vorox Snow Shoe sensed was a young one with bright green eyes.  He was looking out one of the tunnel openings at him.  Snow Shoe guessed he wouldn't be a threat because of the fear emanating from him.  He could sense at least three magic users nearby but he knew none of them out help.  Sand Vorox never left their pack, their lifestyle depended too much on the support of the pack.  He couldn't anything more from them because they blocked him from their minds.  Something flew past Snow Shoe, a pointed stick maybe.  But the spell he had cased yesterday when meeting Watcher was still working and kept any long ranged weapons away.  He turned and was able to locate the thrower.  One of the magic users no doubt.  Sand Vorox were much bigger than Snow Shoe.  Snow Shoe was a bit smaller than normal Vorox because of the Snow Vorow part of him.  Sand Vorox were the biggest breed.  The Sand Vorox towered over him.

Watcher stayed silent, watching SnowShoe and the vorox. He decided he would see if SnowShoe could get them passed, he knew vorox better than he did, and Watcher didn't want to fight.

Pride took a step sideways, giving Marten enough room should he feel anymore uncomfortable. In the same manner he watched Marten, Pride looked at the newcomer curiosly. What was he? This one had no wings, however Marten had seemed scared of it. "Uhm...Are you all right?" Pride asked the little owl.

Question, how big is Simon or rather, Vorox compared to the size of Pride? Remember, i made him about Wolf size.))

(The size of a Vorox depends on the breed.  From biggest to smallest, Sand, Forest and Snow.  A Sand Vorox is about two times the size of a wolf.  A Forest Vorox is a few inches smaller.  A Snow Vorox is right around the same size of a wolf, sometimes smaller.  Simon is a Forest Vorox.  Snow Shoe is a hybrid of a Forest Vorox and Snow Vorox so he is like a Forest Vorox runt.)
