A Standing Chance (Re-visited) ((Wolf RP))

     She laughed a little. "You've got quite the little hunter on your hands." She said with another smile directed towards the pup.

Ears perked forward, Maska smirked lightly at Abyss before giving Koda an encouraging nudge with his nose. "Heh, sure do." He simply murmured. Koda buried his face in his father's chest fur, peeking out at the fae occasionally.

     She smiled and listened to the rain. "If we're lucky, we may see the Lights." She was referring to the Northern Lights.

The lightening crackled outside, briefly illuminating the cave, the sharp light briefly catching Shibe's eyes as he curiously watched Asha, the female seemingly growing more tense the longer the conversation went on. He was about to say something about her silence, apologize or take back his question, when she replied. He was... baffled, to say the least.

They've gone mad? he asked himself silently, shifting uneasily in the dim light. Once she continued he quickly assured, "No, I would never, I assure you. I will leave once the rain stops if you honestly are uncomfortable - I'll even go now if you wish." Shibe said, ears laying back and moving to stand.

Dusk began to shiver as his pelt was drenched. He quickly snapped back to now and shook out his pelt. All though the cave was just behind him he ignored it and trotted over to a tree not too far from the cave. If you exited the cave you could probably see him. He soon ha layed himself under the tree trying not to get soaked.

Asha

Alarm shot up Asha as Shibe moved to stand, and she too aburtly stood up, making Ersha let out a yelp of surprise. "N-no!" she blurted, but quickly cleared her throat again at her child-voice-like talk. "No, please stay. I didn't mean to sound so harsh. "Besides, you'd get hurt or worse if you don't find shelter in the storm." She added, cautiously laying back down again. "I'm sorry - I won't accuse you again."

He, too, jumped at her sudden words, eyes widening and sitting quickly back onto his haunches, lowering his head nervously. "I- Well, if you're sure. Just say the word and I will leave..." Shibe said slowly, ears ticking backwards.

He was quiet for a moment, then elaborated on what she had previously said. "Your pack went mad? What... What happened, may I ask?"

Asha

She still felt a little embarrassed by her abrupt objection, and her paw resumed to a slow slide against the ground. At Shibe's question, Asha's ear twitched slightly as she glanced at the storm again. "It's hard to explain," she began, squinting her eyes in attempt to remember. "I-I don't know really - it just came on us. It was just a normal morning...everything was alright. But we heard some snarling followed by a yelp, and then that's when we realized that one of our pack members had killed another one. I guess - that's when the massacre followed." Asha muttered, deliberately leaving out the part with her and her father. Raising her head to look at Shibe, she asked, "And you? What happened to yours, if I may ask?"

Dusk pelt got even more wet. The tree didn't help much. He shivered and tried to stay warm but his attempts failed. He shivered and felt really weak. He took up enough courage and padded slowly back to the cave which he had seen the other wolves before. He walked in a ways becore speaking. "Can I stay here till the rain stops?" He mumbled then he eventually collapsed on the floor.

Maska flicked an ear backward and flashed a quick smile. "Perhaps. If this nasty weather clears up." He responded in a low tone.
