No.

Also, I found out it happens only when I download .rar files.

Try downloading winRAR for .rar files. If still gibberish comes up, it is probably set to open with notepad, not the program you want it to open with.

I have Norton and it blocks me from downloading winRar. I don't think I should download any more programs onto my laptop - it's pretty old.

Thanks so much for your help though<3 If I'm mistaken and Norton is alright with it, and I get a better laptop, I'll try it

I am glad I helped! If you where trying to open a mesh file, just right click and there should be an option allowing you to open with... -Find your program you want to open it with-

If THAT does not work, open your mesh program and import it in [Make sure that the file is compatible, and is on your desktop]

If you still need a program, try RAR Extract Frog. It works great for me! :)
Moving to my new account: Windstrider. Hopefully everybody can find it ok!

Sorry to bother you but where can I find my mesh program? Is it on my desktop?

Also when i try to open in a different program, the gibberish stays the same/the file cannot be found.
