Items not working?

I was playing FeralHeart today when I got bored and decided I would look for some interesting mods to try. I tried downloading Mura the Mink's Darkness Mod, but I wasn't sure it got it downloaded right. Things seemed to be in some kind of shade I didn't like. I did the stupid thing of not keeping reserves of the files I replaced in other folders, so I couldn't bring my old files back. I then decided I would de-install FeralHeart and re-install it afterwards. After doing so, I tested the game to check if everything was done right. I also kept a folder with all of the items of the item packs I had in, just in case. None of my items showed in the game, other then the Christmas hat. The FeralHeart folder still had the files for the items and the other stuff needed to make them work, and they were there when I had re-installed it, but they still wouldn't work. Do they need some other things to be done to work, or is there a different problem? (And for some weird reason, the water in the small waterfall in the backround of the scene where you choose your character seems all brown and muddy, but I'm quite sure it isn't related to this.) I still haven't tested the maps to see if they work, but I'm frustrated and I feel like I just need to rest and get some help.  I have the Ringo and Delay Item pack, and the Pawsome one. Does anyone know how to make the items work again?

May sound a bit of a stupid question but, have you made sure to copy over your items.cfg file into your new FH folder? X3 As for the muddy water in your waterfall, sounds like one of your files have mixed up or something. You can check the water texture in Textures to see if it's the texture that's gone weird and if so, replace it. cx

Have you replaced your items.cfg? This may be the main reason for the items not to work, because, if not replaced, the game will not render your new items in. So all you need to do is drop your item.cfg file that came with your item pack, into FeralHeart>Media>Items and drop everything in there, including the item textures.

Very certain that it's something with where you installed the actual item files, since you can see the list of items your config file for the items is placed correctly and found by the game, but the game itself is unable to find the very items(mesh and material files) and therefore nothing shows up on your character when you choose an item.

If your FeralHeart is installed on the default location, ALL item files except the items.cfg should go into "C:\FeralHeart\media\items". If you go to this folder and see that you have indeed placed everything in there, there's one more thing you could check.

Go to the main FeralHeart folder(C:\FeralHeart) and look for "Resources.cfg", and open it with notepad. On the very bottom of the config it should say:

[Items]
FileSystem=media/items

If it doesn't, go ahead and add this to your config file, save the changes and then close it.

If you still are unable to see them it's simply that you are just doing it wrong lol, things like maybe having 2 instances of FeralHeart installed on your computer and mixing up which one got what installed or something other derpy like that. But the two things above is and should be the only things it could ever be, taking for granted that you install it as it should be installed.

At least the Ringo and Delay's item pack is working now. It seems that the files I saved before de-installing only contained the CFG stuff for that one item pack. I think I should just download the other one again. Thanks for the advice, though. It was very helpful!

This isn't working for me, Sadly, I've had several issues with Pawsome Item Pack, The one for the Characters. It's not working, Whatsoever. It's stressful, I've had as well as coming from 3 to 7 different times I've downloaded it. It's not working, I've done the [Items] FileSystem=media/items
thing and then it did nothing, I've had everything put right, It's just i get excited get into Create a Char and it messes up! It doesn't show up! I've done everything and it's not working, It's so frustrating, I've wanted this Pack for SO LONG. Can i have help..? Why won't this work!
