WOO FIRST SHADING ATTEMPT

Yeahyeahyeah, I know my friend doesn't play FH. xD Just might as well post it here.~
This is my irl best friend's fursona, Bandit. <3
Improvement or non-improvement?

Took 2-3 hours to complete, various days.

Love it. That's pretty remarkable for the first time of shading.

If you don't mind me asking, is the moon and are the grass shaded by you? (I don't doubt it or anything, I'm just curious.) Also, what art program do you use? If it's alright if you, of course.

It's fine asking! I use Paint Tool Sai, and yes, the grass and moon were shaded by me. I drew it from scratch. Thank you so much! ;v;!

Beautifully well done, Re.! Looks like you're really getting down the basics of fur definition, shading-wise! With a bit more practice it'll be second nature to 'ya!
Shading is always something that can be a bit difficult, especially with fur and wings. (It's something I really need practice on as well) But with this particular style, it's done quite well, especially for your first try!
Another thing I simply can't get over the epicness of is the background! GAH.
Grass is such a pain in the butt to draw, isn't it? :I Ihategrass.
Backgrounds, are definitely not everybody's forte, but here it seems not only have you nailed expression of the actual character, but you've nailed the background beautifully. Very impressive, indeed!
I hope to see some more artz from ye with some more of dat smexy shading soon! C:

Pretty good for your first time shading if you ask me, it's definitely improvement in my eyes. <3 That background is absolutely stunning too (I use big words now? owo). Really wonderful job on the improvement there, Re!~ :3 I'm sure Bandit will love it of course too. Nice job on your first attempt on shading, and I mean it for sure! <3

Jimmy: ;vvvvv;andithoughtthebackgroundsuckedAGH - Well, grass isn't exactly hard for me because I have my own 'way' to draw fur, and I just apply the 'fur' texture of animals to my grass, and BOOM, furry grass grass! Oh my gosh just I- thank youuuu<3333 (and yes I love my style)
