James whimpered and bowed his head.
This is it. he thought
This is it. He turned away, unable to watch his love be slaughtered. "At least make it quick." He muttered at Molek. He closed his eyes and sighed defeated. He thought about when he first met Akil and smiled lightly.
James sniffed the air as he trotted down the street, and he smiled when he caught the scent of a freshly killed squirrel. As he rounded the corner building, he was attacked by a smaller dog, about half his height, but since he was caught by surprise he stumbled backwards. "What do you want?" she snapped defending her prey angrily. He blinked and chuckled "Nothing little one, I'm sorry."
Akil squirmed beneath the large dog, struggling for air. "Please.." she gasped, searching his eyes for any sign of emotion. She weakly clawed at his face, but failed. She looked towards where she had come, James was standing next to a large black dog who was missing an ear, clearly infected.
