Removing the portals in cape of distant worlds.

Okay, so I didn't like the amount of portals I had in the Cape of Distant Worlds, so I tried to remove some of the maps but their portals are still there, and I don't know how to remove them. I feel kinda silly for having to ask about this, but if anyone knows how to, it would be wonderful. (Also, I am trying to make a map, that will connect to others that I will make, and I was hoping to stop the portals to the other places appearing, except in my map, so if it's possible, does anyone know how to hide them from the Cape of Distant Worlds. (That's only a thing I'm hoping for, but I realize it's not likely to be possible)

You need to uncheck "has portal" in your maps, then remove the .fhm and .map files for them.

If you just don't want there to be a portal to your maps but you want to keep them just as Ruby said un-check 'Has Portal' on the first tab of your map in map maker but don't delete any files. If you want rid of a map you downloaded I believe you need to delete all the files related to it.
Also, please if you can avoid it don't double post xD

For removing, do as the above comments state, for linking, you want to add portals to your map via map maker, As well as having an arrival portal you want to create others on your third tab 'objects' . Find 'NEW GATE' and fill your 'Gate destination' bar with the map name (not display name). This should work, sorry if I made it more complicated than it is! :3

If they're maps you made, go to map maker and uncheck the 'has portal' option on the maps you don't want there. If they're other maps, I'm sorry but I have no idea.
