You won't lose any markings unless you've downloaded extra marking packs.

no, you keep all default markings, but any markings you installed you can easily just reinstall as you did in the first place if this is the case.

first off...

i recommend you download this item pack

OK.
Once this pack is downloaded you should have a .zip file in your downloads by the name of itempack_v2.zip
Open the zip file and you should see this


first off drag and drop the items.cgf into the FH main folder which can be found like this:







next go into the media folder in the zip file. in here there should be another folder called items and in there a bunch of files which are your textures and mat's

ctrl + A the files then drag and drop them into the items folder in your FH folder.




restart your game and everything should show up now

don't worry about items showing up wrong that is due to different item packs.

simple, when you download a new item pack, don't change anything other than add the new files to the items folder and completely replace the items.cgf file in the FH main folder. don't try to extend your current pack, just completely replace the items.cgf with the one in the downloaded item pack that you want~
