Help? "Feralheart.exe has stopped working"!
« on: March 26, 2014, 06:50:45 pm »
Okay, so, last night I was downloading a map for a pack that I joined. I put the files and stuff into all the correct folders and such but whenever I relogged to get the map portal in Cape, it stopped working! It still won't let me play the game, all it does is say "Feralheart.exe has stopped working"!
It might have something to do with the music cfg file that I put in the normal feralheart folder. I don't know what went wrong. I'm afraid of re-installing FH because I might lost all of my data, markings, and the maps and stuff I've downloaded! I have a lot of important stuff that I probably would lose if I uninstalled Feralheart, is there any way to get it working again?

When you moved the music.cfg, click replace!

And, go into C:>>> Feralheart >> media > particles and delete any ending in _0, _1, and so on.
Also, try changing your rendering system to either OpenLG or Direct3D9.

Also make sure you put the map files into the correct places. When you import a map with anmea like default.fph, never replace.

If you don't want to lose everything when you reinstall, just save it to your desktop or another folder. You could get markings and items like the MM3 easily. I could PM you links if needed. :3

Make sure you reinstall the setup from this site!

The thing is, I DID replace the music.cfg. I'm a tad scared I'll screw something up, but I'll try it anyways. Thank you! If something is wrong again I'll just reply to this reply.
