Obsidians (ob-sid-E-yin) (also known as Obsidias) are large lion-like beasts with a dark purplish and navy, almost black pelt and a purplish mane. Usually they don't have manes like lions, but sometimes they do. They have glowing eyes that range from gold to light blue. Their eye colors are medium blue, light green, dark green, medium green, light icy blue, yellow, and brown. All Obsidians, despite their gender, get mane-like features. Females, just like most males, have a dark purplish color in their manes. Their manes are usually (in a lions point of view), are back mane, half mane, or full mane. They all have short but sharp teeth. Their canines are the longest, and stick out of their mouths a little. The most famous Obsidian is the Imperial Obsidian, which has long saber-like top canines and a long, shaggy mane. They also have long jagged horns, but only the males have jagged ones. Female Imperials have long straight horns, less mane, and shorter canines. All Obsidians are carnivores or omnivores, and almost all are nocturnal. Their tails are usually the same color of their mane, but some have tails with the same color as their coat. Their tails are usually long and catlike, or are long and flat.
