I`ve never played a Sim`s game in my life. The pet thing intrests me since you can be the animal but other then that I dont know if I should get a Sims game
You should at least play  The Sims 3 default version and see what it's like.
It's basically like FH where you create your characters but you do a lot more with them.
Get them in love, make enemies, earn skills and make them have their own jobs.
Build them houses and stuff to live in with selected furniture of your own choice.
You also need to have the money for a comfy life.

New mission, must obtain Sims 4 after confirming gameplay from other people. Check and posted, lol. From what I've seen from the trailers of Sims 4, it looks great! I just hope the feature of the customization of property and clothes remain from its predecessor. If not, at the very least a good amount of clothing and furniture features to chose from.
