Am I the only one that this happens too?!
« on: June 18, 2014, 07:45:11 pm »
This is why I gave up trying to download FH again, because of this message!!! #_# Even after a few months, this still happens!!! That's it, I'm going to bed. At 3:32 pm. Goodnight

And I know what you're going to say. 'Just turn it off' and the last time I did that, my whole entire computer crashed, all my files were destroyed, and I had to wipe my entire computer clear. '-.- I just can't get a break can I?

Chrome dislikes FH, use another browser. ^^ It's perfectly safe!

And what do you mean "turn if off?" :o I'm confused. What did you do before?

*Use a different browser to download it  :D
but if that doesnt work, these are some thing I have heard of that could become problems:
If you have downloaded something (such as Norton=virus protector and whatnot) that would stop it from opening because it is something you downloaded from the world wide web, which (it thinks) is a bad place. Go through your computer and see if you have anything like that.
IF you do, then it will most likely have a history of what you have downloaded/what it has not accepted. You SHOULD be able to (either) get rid of the virus protector, and/or allow FH to be downloaded.
IF you dont have anything like this^, than I would suggest PMing a staff member who would know a little more about how it works. :) Hope you find a way to download it.

There's a setting in Chrome that allows you to 'turn off' its little virus tracker thing.

I honestly do trust what you guys are saying, but the last time I did successfully download it (I used Firefox last time), all of that stuff happened and I really can't afford to loose anything on this rust bucket of a laptop, but I won't give up trying ;3;

Maybe it was something else that I downloaded...?

I have this problem too. I've resorted to just using backup files instead when I need to re-install. :/

You without a doubt did something wrong and clicked on something you shouldn't have last time around. Just because you use another browser or just because you ignore the warning for FeralHeart(And FeralHeart only..) will not, by any chance wreck your computer or remove files. If something like that happens you got far more worse things to look into that causes it rather than the game you were trying to get.

In chrome, just got to "chrome://downloads/" in the url bar.

Once there, click "Recover malicious file" below the FHsetup.exe

Confirm that you want to unblock the file by clicking "Hurt me plenty" and it's all done, you can run the exe you downloaded.

Just as a reminder though, this is something that is NOT suggested with anything at all unless you know it's safe and where it's from. The chrome browser is just trying to protect users that are unsure or just don't know any better downloading files randomly from various places on the internet. In this case though, the warning from chrome is misleading and many of us already run it on our very own systems. It's safe.

If you bump into issues before you must've been doing something you shouldn't, and if you still doubt what to do after reading this there's not much that can be said to make you think otherwise.

Thanks Red! I'll try that, and I honestly think what happened last time was because I was just careless and downloaded things left and right without verifying that they were safe for my laptop :)

Feral-Heart is 100% safe, it's just that your internet browser is acting silly. As Alpha said above, try to use a different browser like firefox, internet explorer etc.
If you don't want to change the browser, you can do this:
Simply go to the top right of the screen and click the three vertical lines. Go to SETTINGS and scroll down until you see "Show advanced settings". Go to 'Privacy' and disable 'Enable phishing and malware protection' and download your FH game.
