Exported Preset(s) Dilemma
« on: July 03, 2014, 04:06:06 pm »
First of all, I want to thank you for clicking this thread. You're taking time out of your day to help a fellow member of FeralHeart, and I really appreciate that.

I'm having a problem with my presets, but not in the stage problems normally occur. After I've exported my presets and have gotten them in-game is when I start to have issues.
The regular routine for me is finding/making a preset, placing it into the correct preset folder (or exporting it there from Gimp with the right extensions like .png, .jpg, etc.), opening my FH game and loading it into Preset Maker before exporting it to the correct profile. After that, it's easy sailing. I go back to my account and log in, to test out my new preset. It shows up as it should, and I save it to my chosen character. However, if at that time I have another exported preset or two with the same username as my account, (Just with Changlecity_1 or Changlecity_2, none of them are the same number) everything is thrown off track. When I go to edit my character, the preset I once saved it to has magically changed to another preset- that I did not assign it. When I change it back to the correct preset and save it, I return to edit my character with the same result. Friend in-game see the preset that I don't want them to see- causing all of my characters to get jumbled in a disoriented mess.

No, I don't have all 12 of my folder slots filled, I only have had a maximum of five at one time, all exported and ready to be worn. Even if I have only two exported presets, they still get jumbled. I'm not sure if this is an exporting problem exclusive to my enjoyment, or if there is something I can do? If you have any suggestions, and at all, I would appreciate it very much. It's not easy having one preset exported at a time- since when I get a new preset, I have to remove the old one just to be able to see it.

I hope I explained it all for you. If you need me to inform you on anything else that you may think is causing the problem, please let me know. Thank you for your time!

Going into the edit screen and having your preset magically flip-flop into a different one is nothing new, at least for me. It's always been this little glitch that's just kind of there. ;u; So what I've always done is just go to edit my character, put on the preset, then go back to the other tabs to edit whatever I needed changed. Save it and it'll be fine after that. It just always does that random switch in the edit screen for me too. Just have to switch it back is all, and then edit it in the same editing session.
