Corrupt and unreadable.
« on: July 25, 2014, 05:24:46 am »
The file or directory C:\FeralHeart\media\overlays\overlay1\fhObjects.fho.dll is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.

How do I fix that? :/

There shouldn't be a "fhObjects.fho.dll" file in your overlay1 folder, I don't think. I checked mine and I don't have that file. Try deleting it the file and then running the game (or just move it onto your desktop in case you might need it)

I'll keep looking for an answer just in case deleting the file doesn't work :)
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

I always have them when the game is running- That was always normal for me.

What Ingredient means by "delete the file" is send it to the recycle bin. Right click the corrupted file and click "delete." Then try starting the game. If it doesn't work, your best bet would be to reinstall the game with a new setup from here: -click- Don't download the torrent or the setup - only the setup.

Your computer were shutdown unexpectedly while your game was running, so a file got corrupted.
Press windows button, then click on my computer button, right click on your C hard drive, then click on Properties, click on tools tab and  in error Error-checking, click Check Now.

You could also try to delete the file but this can fail if there are errors on the hard disk. Deleting this file will not affect your game.

Thank you Thierry!
But when it says request accepted, sending login, immediately closes and says that there is an error report. :/

I forgot to mention you may need to restart your computer to allow the error checking to perform.

Once its done, check if the file C:\FeralHeart\media\overlays\overlay1\fhObjects.fho.dll continues to exist, and delete it if its there.

If after all the game continues to crash, its most likely the game got damaged and you will need to delete the FeralHeart folder and to reinstall the game.

So the admin Red helped me with a few things but now everytime I try to run/re-install the game, it says that the files are corrupt and I need to re-install. I've done this numerous times with the same result..

It says the files are corrupt at re-installing aswell? unlucky and strange. if you get this kind of error at the installer you will need to download it again.
(I Wonder why are they getting corrupted)

I guess I'll try to just redo my whole computer (because I have nothing important on it) and try it then.
