Is there any possible way to have moving objects??
« on: August 12, 2014, 03:52:43 pm »
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was any way to have moving objects in-game to use on maps? Like animals that move on a set 'track' (Don't know if that makes any sense) or something? I believe I have seen some maps have moving plants (wind effects), animals, etc., but I am not sure. Also, If possible, if you have to use an object effect, could someone link me to a download of some sort or a tutorial on how to make those effects (if any)? Thank you.  :)

Find me in-game at : Muggery

You can make them as a kind of particles, though they will sadly be 2D. I don't know awfully much on the subject though, but I believe 2D is as far as you can go.

there is a way to animate a mesh, like a waterfall, but it'll come out weird 'cause it's a scrolling texutre. however i don't think there's any other way to create a moving one other than a particle.
