Quote from the Home Page stating that;
there will be no items dropped by preys
If there would be prey, there would be more lag, and simply the maps would have to be a whole lot bigger. Imagine one single zebra on Bonfire Island and everyone chasing it? Sure it would work in larger maps such as Flourite Plains and Atlantis, but what would change it the game?
"So-and-so killed my prey"
"But I was chasing it first"
"Just because there is prey where we Roleplay, many people come over and annoy us!"
We had prey in Impressive Title, but people wouldn't stop constantly fighting over it to get..Exactly. What would they get? You simply cannot control where a (example;) deer goes, but a character does all the controls.
It would also be boring for quite some time, being that one could only slaughter prey for themselves.
Plus, isn't it more fun and exiting when someone actually makes a character to take on the role of the prey?
Then it would be more realistic, since not many NPC animals know that running into a wall is a bad choise. Real people do.
But too, you will be able to roleplay while hunting which takes it to a whole new level of the game.
Creativity.
@warriorstrike also wore off a pretty intresting idea to put modes in the game, such as hunting mode or the normal mode.
Although that would take a lot of coding, modifying and updating the game, which would take too long. Adding onto that, even if we took that idea in mind, I'm afraid we won't be able to update the game. The main creator, Kovu/Kov has left with all the codes needed, and all we can do is only edit the ones we have now slightly.
Aside of that, it's a wonderful idea. I'd play and support it, only if the prey actually had something to give at the end. Items a level, points/achievements or such. Like in Impressive Title. But that sadly won't happen. If the main creators of the game put it on the Home/Information Page, it's there for a reason and most of them probably didn't support prey.
