                                       thus called itself and it, and it stuck when passed onto a demon-form


                           VIII. History

                                  Long ago, animals were larger, and more deadly then the recent animals in the world. They were bigger,                                                                  
                                  more fearsome, and always at war with each other. Even their own species at times turned on each                                    
                                  other, and Astroit was exception. To it's canine-like species, they were enormous, and one of the most              
                                  fearsome predators out there. However, they were very territorial, especially when it came to their pack
                                  members. A male or female would claim an area, and you would know immediately, either you would see
                                  a certain mark, or a quite large on. Pack leaders were bigger, and stronger then any of them, that's when
                                  you know, they are the leader. Gender does not matter, but if they were a male, they would be          
                                  extremely over protective over females, likewise to a female leader toward males. If one of a different
                                  pack was to even get near them, they would be killed on the spot. Sometimes, however, some don't form
                                  packs, or don't even join one. Astroit was that of a loner, she loved to travel, and no one would stop her.  
                                  Those who would get in her way, she would kill. Her species were known to take the most beautiful of
                                  spots, and she often had to enter them in order to see the area she wanted to enter... However, why did
                                  she become a loner? Simple, her parents. Astroit had a terrible relationship with them, and would often
                                  argue. For her, she was that of a Pack Leader size, unlike her parents. They would pressure her, and
                                  compare to the other siblings on their size. One brother and sister were leader-sized, which was quite
                                  rare, but her parents often compared. Even if it wasn't them, she would be called weaker then the
                                  normal-sized ones. Not to mention, siblings disliked her. Being the eldest, and taking no responsibility of
                                  their pack like she needed to do, all the pressure was pushed onto them. Nor', was she ever there when
                                  it mattered. If a family member died, if a mate died, and worse of all, when their mother died, when she
                                  had killed their mother. It was simply because Astroit desired freedom, she needed it to happen. It was
                                  the only way to escape their clutches. Then, the cycle continued. At times, because she entered territory,
                                  the creature would get captured... Only to end up killing someone important, perhaps not the Pack
                                  Leader, but their son, daughter, or loved one. Even to the point, she killed cubs, elders, those who were
                                  ill. It didn't matter, as long as she had gotten her freedom, nothing had mattered.

                                  But, she could never killed them all. Astroit was never powerful enough to take a whole pack on. Dirty            
                                  tricks were what she did best on, it's how she survived. Resentment build over time between various of
                                  packs, her name was thrown in the dirt all around, everyone knew who she was... That's what brought
                                  the end to her. They all had something in common; wanting Astroitrem dead.

                                  While it wouldn't bother her as much as it should have, they didn't personally fight her. They hired
                                  people. While she played dirty, never, has she hired or used someone else to fight them. Those who they
                                  hired, killed her behind her back. A sad death, she did not seen coming. A death by falling, straight off of
                                  a cliff and into the darkness of the floor. Instant death... Not even a chance for final words, or to do what
                                  she wanted. Astroit didn't have much, but she wanted to see all the known beautiful places in the world.
                                  Collect little pieces to remind herself of their memories, and later, discover even more areas.

                                  Aaah, that was a reason for her to stay in the world... However, she knew she was dead, why should
                                  she? Then, the anger of having the packs killing her with a different species, not even themselves
                                  angered her enough. Silly, right? She killed quite many behind her back, but when it came to this, she
                                  could not handle it. Those moments when everything flash before your eyes, was true. Everybody she
                                  had killed, came before her. All their tears, blood, and family crying in horror as she killed them in front of
                                  her... For the first time, she actually felt sorrow for those families. Astroit was now a ghost.

                                  During the years as a ghost, she was quite confused with gender and species. It only took 100 years for
                                  her to realize, she is just a ghost. Species is ghost, and nothing else. Nobody else could say anything, for
                                  she saw no other spirits... Gender, was a huge issue. Was she still a female, being dead? Of course, she
                                  still had the parts of a female, but it still... Confused her greatly. Do ghosts have assigned genders? Do
                                  genders matter in death? ... So, she came with the conclusion, to call herself and it. For she couldn't see
                                  why a ghost would need a gender, or the pronunciation of that gender. It, they, them became what it    
                                  called itself.

                                  A few hundred, thousand, maybe even millions of years, it has yet to move on. Trying various of ways to
                                  move on... Trying to communicate, discover new areas... But it could not help the families that she  
                                  destroyed, and in all honestly, did not care. Attempted once, and got bored. Years of just watching
                                  people... It was nice though, no bugs, not able to get harmed, and the ability to float just a little bit. It
                                  discovered so many things... Unbelievable things. However, lost quite a lot.

                                  The process toward demon-hood was not hard, she just needed hatred. However, their hatred as not                
                                  strong enough, and it became a weak demon. One that can cause nightmares. It was quite hard at first,
                                  it couldn't communicate with the other demons that well. Talking proved to be difficult after centuries of
                                  silence. They didn't remember how to handle them either, and became rather blunt and quite rude. Not
                                  knowing when to hold back, many demons avoided it... They were alone again.
