DOWNLOADING YOUR GAME
Now you're registered. It's time to download the game itself. But how does one
do this?
It's very simple, but you must be clueless so I'll give you guidelines.
1. Near the top of this website there is a bar that shows "Home, Forum, .etc"
along there should be the Download link. Click that, if you're feeling lazy click here
2. Now, next to "FeralHeart Game Setup", click download.
3. When it's fully downloaded, click on it and it should bring up the setup wizard. Follow
through with what it says and set a desktop icon if you wish.
4. Next, a DirectX installation will pop up. I recommend you install that as well
5. When everything is finished. There you go! You successfully installed the game
THE LOG-IN SCREEN + IN-GAME LINKS
Here we have the log in screen. Enter your username and password to enter the game.
Now what else is here?
TOOLS
Object Maker
- Now, I've never used this. But my best guess is this is where you create custom objects for
maps
Sky Maker
- Create sky files for your maps here.
Map Maker
- Here you can create your own maps. However, maps you create wont be public. And only will
be public if you send a download think to someone.
Preset Maker
- You can really make presets here. This is more of a testing tool. When you've created a preset
recite here to test it out, and export it into your can. Just like maps, these are viewable to others unless
given a link or put into the preset archive
Movie Maker
- This was a WIP tool. Sadly, this may never be usable since the staff don't have the source code.
HOMEPAGE
-Clicking this will bring you to the FeralHeart site
OPTIONS
- Clicking this will give you the options of what you want to be shown in the game
or changing the volume of the Music and Sound
QUIT
- Clicking will close the game.
THE LITTLE FACEBOOK ICON
- Clicking will link you to FeralHeart's official facebook page
CHARACTER CREATION
Now that you've logged in it's time to create your own character.
Here you can choose from two models, Canine and Feline. They don't have
to specifically be a lion or a wolf. Get creative. Make up your own species!
I
Choose a model and change the sizes of their muzzle, eyes, ears, height. etc.
Give them a name and choose a default emote.
II
Choose a mane style, a tail, the ears, and tuft for your character.
III
Choose your eye style and give your character unique markings
IV
Here you can choose to give your character wings or items, the only item
that comes with the game is the Christmas Hat.
V
Color your character. Want a neon green wolf? You got it!
When your finished press OK and your set for the game~
THE CONTROLS. ETC
Now you're in the game. But what do you do?
To Walk = W A S D
To Sprint = E
To Fly(If you have wings) = E
To Ascend(Wings or in Water) = R
To Desend(Wings or in Water) = F
Auto-Run = Q
Sit = Z
Lay Down = Z Z
Lay Down 2 = Z Z Z
Side Lay = Z Z Z Z
Lay on back = Z Z Z Z Z
Lay with head down = SHIFT Z
Curl = SHIFT Z Z
Crouch = CTRL
Crouch and crawl = CTRL W
Walk = SHIFT W
Position Head = ALT
Jump = SPACEBAR
CHAT BOX
Use the chatbox to send messages in local(public), party, group, and whisper.
To change what you want to send to click where it shows "Local" and choose.
In whisper in the little box put someone's username as to who you want to whisper.
A whisper acts like a PM and only they will receive it.
Along the side of the chat box there is an arrow. You can click that to see what kinds
of message you want to receive.
ICONS
Chatbox
- Clicking will hide the chatbox. Click again to make it reappear.
Map
- Clicking once will make the map transparent. Clicking again will hide it.
Feather
- INFO: Shows your username, character name, and group name
- BIO: Write something about your character here.
- HOME: Here you can set your home to any area you wish. Resetting it to default
will leave you with lonely cave, which is the area you first spawn into. CLicking home will
send you to whatever place you've set.
Lion Head
-ACTIONS: Gives you a list of many actions. You can make your character dance, howl, or strech.
-EMOTES: A list of the many emotes you can have on your character.
Two Paws
- FRIENDS: See who's online that you've sent friend requests to
-REQUESTS: Accept or decline people who have added you as a friend
-BLOCK: Type a user's name here if you wish to block them. You can also unblock them here.
Message Bubbles
- This is the party box. A party acts like a temporary group. You can also accept or decline party
requests
Three Paws
- MY GROUP: See the list of users in your group
- ACTIONS: Choose to leave your current group or create your own
-SEARCH: Search for groups here. IF you find one you wish to join, double click and
send a join request.
Movie
-Clicking here will give you the option of creating a movie. Movies are often used as
advertisements for groups.
