Unable to start up

I've been playing FH for years, and I've only just now begun having this issue. Whenever I go to start up the game, I won't be able to choose between Direct3D9 or OpenGL. Instead, it'll only show one, toggling which one shows each time. I've been able to play with both rendering systems, so I tried loading either. But when I do so, the window will disappear and reappear (switching programs, I believe?) but it'll have a solid black screen. This isn't like the blackscreen error I saw on the help list, as the game doesn't respond and Windows says that 'Feral Heart has stopped working', and closes the program. Any ideas, anyone?

Not quite sure what's goin' on here since this is the first time Vespian's heard of it. Have ye' tried re-downloadin' the game? Or if ye' have, did ye' delete the FH folder and all of it's components before ye' re-installed?

Maybe your computer.

But it's worth a shot deleting the FH folder in the C: drive and reinstalling the game
