Putting Textures on Presets Help
« on: January 02, 2015, 04:55:40 am »
I use Photoshop to create presets (CC 2014)

So when I go to put downloaded textures onto the preset, it's incredibly large, well larger than it's
supposed to be. Now, I'm a noob at Photoshop so do I just re-size the texture? If so how do I?

Sadly I don't use photoshop so I don't know exactly where you'd press to resize the image but yes shrinking down the image to match the dimensions of the regular preset part size should fix your problem. I believe the dimensions are 512 x 512. (Might want to double check those dimensions xD)

There should be an option, once the object or layer is selected to re-size it. I use Ps Elements 6.0, which has a resizing option, so, others should as well. Try checking to see if it has a re-size option, learning means exploring lol.

If you have a Windows computer I would like to suggest you go to your Start Up Menu, and type in "Paint" if the program comes up I would click on it, and attempt re-sizing it there. Also Sura you are correct it is 512x512 last I checked. ^^
