Can't log in-game

Hello.
Truth is I'm here for my friend. She's not used to forums, so she don't want to do it herself.

Her problem is she can't log in-game. On the site it works just fine, but when she load the game and try to log in, it says ''incorrect username or password''. If you could help her with that, it would be awesome. I really want to play this game with her.

There are a number of situations that can affect one's ability to access the game itself, but I believe yer friend is endurin' one of the more infamous problem where a user who possesses a username longer than 16 characters won't be able to log in (aside from here on the forums). I believe this is yer friend's main cause. There is a solution, aye, but it requires the registration of a new account. Preferrably one underneath the character limit. T'is an unfortunate function the server has where it will no longer recognize any characters above the limit. Thus, for example, if one's username was Jack Skellington308, the server would only recognize Jack Skellington. It wouldn't take notice of the 308 thus will think an anon is tryin' to breach it less I'm mistaken.

It can't be the problem, because her username is Ignie. 5 characters. But thank you for trying.

Make sure your not using the numpad while entering your password, and also, is your pass more than 16 characters long? That might be the problem, but i'll leave a quote for ye' below.

Hey! So, I've noticed lots of help threads about this. Look here instead! It's usually just little things that are easy to fix.


1. Make sure your caps lock is not on. The login is caps sensitive! Make sure you're typing everything correctly.

2. Do not use the numpad! Use the numbers above the alphabet on your keyboard.

3. Does your username or password have any unusual symbols such as ?$!@*-_ ect.? This can mess things up for some people. Make a new account if you're having trouble with symbols. If you make a new one, please try to stick with a-z letters, nothing capitalized.

4. Make sure that your keyboard language is in English! It won't log you in unless you have a US keyboard setting.

5. If you're trying to log on ingame, make sure the server is up and running. You can do this by looking at the top of the banner of this forum.

6. Make sure you are logging in with your username, not forum nickname. My actual username is JazzForLife, and I log in with that. I do not use Jazzz, because that is my forum nickname.

7. Even if you change your password on the forum, your password for the game will always be the same you signed up with.
