« on: January 29, 2015, 03:10:33 pm »
So this is probably a dumb question, but do I need the internet on when I make maps and presets on gimp?

it's an honest question, don't worry! the answer is no; the only thing you need to save a map is your username typed into the box on the main screen (for what purpose I know not).

and, since GIMP is a program you download, you can use it any time, and it has no need for internet (after you download it from the internet, of course) while you are using it.

You don't need Internet connection to create a Map or Preset in Gimp. You do, however, need it when testing your Preset or Map in-game.

As said in the previous post, gimp is mostly an art or photo manipulation program, you can use it at any point with no connection or internet needed.
