I love all of the antler items. They look really good on a majority of characters, hence why all of mine seem to have them; even if they're realistic-themed. They're not obnoxious like a lot of the bigger items and they don't really get in the way of most roleplays like wings, guns, and animals do.
As for markings, I prefer just using the default ones. You can create a lot of original character designs with them as well as be seen by every player.
