Mapmaker CONSTANTLY Crashing

My mapmaker has been doing this for quite some time now. The current map project I have should have been finished MONTHS ago but MM is making that nearly impossible. Why? When I log on, it's a race against time to work. I have to save after every mesh I plant, because MM crashes so often. It's an annoying hassle.

For example: I have been **attempting** to finish my RP's map since 4:00. Map Maker has crashed EXACTLY 15 times since I started, causing me to lose about 1 hour of work, thanks to the time it takes to reboot FH after the stupid game crashes.

(I also have this problem in Fluorite)

It probably has to do with either of two things.
The more likely thing is map size. A large map will crash rediculously. My reccomendation... Log in, find out where you want meshes placed(Write it down) and place the meshes one by one. Or just... shrink the size of the map. If you HAVE to have it that huge just split it up into multiple maps. A good size is 50,000 to 75,000.

The less likely but still possible thing is a corrupted mesh or object. Sometimes, meshes will not instantly crash something, particles especially(If a frame of corrupted animation is played), due to faulty coding. You may want to check over which meshes work in your Object Maker before continuing.

Otherwise, there is a last resort. I've had to do it before. Re-install FH. A backup would not work since it is likely a file is corrupt, so you would have to restart... Try making it a smaller size. You may also want to make sure your HM and TM's are all 513x513, but that is usually instantaneous with crashing. Save FH when you place a mesh if you don't want to do this, it will prevent you from losing a lot of work. Hopethishelps.

The map is actually 45k by 45K, and it's done it before with tiny maps I've made (Like, 5K by 5K). I did make all my Masks the same size, so I know that's not the problem. My guess it's the faulty coding like you spoke of, or maybe just my computer itself. it's incredibly small and almost out of memory.  The crashing in FP began when I had a little less than 1 GB of RAM left, so I'm assuming that's when the crashing started for MM though I cannot remember.
