Mates!

So, what do you guys think about mates? Do have diffrent mates on more than one charictor or do you stick to one player for your whole account? What do you think makes a good mate? After what time do you think it's safe to assume a mate gone for good and move on? Do you guys have multiple ways to talk to mates? Also, feel free to brag about your mate! xD

It was fun to have a mate. I remember when we used roleplay all the time and just have balls of fun. I personally had fun. He was sweet and really nice to me. Everyday he would check up on me and just be amazing. He was like my boyfriend over the Internet. XD But sadly over connection had to end because I had a terrible storm and wasnt on for weeks. Plus, I didn't have my own laptop. So that brought us down and haven't seen each other since then. I miss tbh. 

I would love to another mate and roleplay with him.

Eh, I really don't do the mate thing anymore.
It was fun for a while but, it was also very.... Strange.
Obscenely so for me.

I wouldn't mind doing it again but, I'm also that kind of person who awkwardly talks and talks and talks and bores people soOOOOOOO.

I've only had one serious 'mate' in FH and it was a lot like this ^_^
Sadly we grew apart over time due to inactivity, etc.  Our 'relationship' was only inside the roleplay and whenever we were IC. 
We actually became quite good friends outside of the RP before we both stopped playing as much.

I agree strongly with Sura.
Back in my early days, I remember having one mate. Never again. It was fun at first, but then they got clingy and it was just plain annoying.
Now the only times I would have a mate is just for the roleplay, and with a friend's character.

Personally, love isn't my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I disprove of mates in the game. Just as long as they stay appropriate and aren't over protective of eachother.

Thus, I don't fancy the whole idea of a 'Mate Center' your character never gets a mate unless you are a male or have a 'cool' design. Otherwise, I'd rather get mates in a Roleplay rather than begging or the ladies in roleplay trying to get attention.
Otherwise, I'm the grump of romance. I don't like  being attached to someone 24/7, I like LOTS of solitude.
