Rant about idiots thread

aah yes, another thing i hate...
"grammar nazis"... sorry for the expression but...
its okay you need to understand the other, after all how can you rp, and i do understand and i dont really recommand rping in chatspeak but...
some ppl and groups take this too far...
i mean, i cant join some interesting rps because:
i dont start my sentences with capital letters.....
no comment....
this is like.... just no comment.
and sometimes i cant join a rp because:
i dont put ' <- this thing at doesnt, isnt, cant etc...
please... you can understand right?
never anyone complained before how i type, as far as i can tell, you guys can understand what im typing here....
and this whole thing just hit me a bit... its the first time i got rejected because of such a tiny thing. i was baffled to say the least.
english isnt my first language. and if i want to rp properly, i dont use ', or capital letters.. because what do they want actually from me?
1. to rp properly, and keep things interesting
2. or completely fall behind because im checking and correcting my grammar...

I have a issue a bit like Garg's comment. Because of the speed with which i have learnt to type I find it hard to write the and often spell it teh instead. And I always panic that I'm going to be rejected from RP's because i do tend to get letters mixed, and people have spoken up about it before. I mean, yes, I do correct people when they make spelling mistakes, that way they can learn from their mistake (and if they do it repeatitivly, I know mistakes can be made, see how I spelt repeatitivly (I know it's wrong, but I can never figure out how it is spelt)) but I don't threaten to kick them from an RP if they don't put in capitals. Sure, it would be nice, but that's how they type.

  But I do get irritated when people write every word with capitals. Not because I'm Nazi, but because I have this odd thing where I have difficulty reading setences or paragraphs written like that. I just get so frustrated when people do that! I tend not to say anything about it, but I have seen a lot of it lately and it is getting to the point I might just have to speak up about it, I DO like to be able to read peoples posts, and I can't if they write like that.

See, I don't mind when people make random spelling mistakes, typos, or leave out punctuation. I think there's more of a problem with those who 7YpE lYk DiS, or basically have very feeble RP skills, "I BITE YOU!!!! now i hunt deeer to feed mah pups LOL".

It's probably being nitpicky me saying this but each time I see that in game it's like: "*BITES DEER IN NECK*..*DEER DIES* *DRAGS TO DEN*" Nevermind that deer/elk are likely to fight back/run and the fact that I'm pretty sure a single scrawny sparklewolf couldn't haul a deer or elk carcass on their own. Deer maybe depending on the size, but elk I highly doubt it.
It's stupid I know and I'm probably getting too technical, but it bothers me a bit |D

I think a big part of this game is that, of course, it's not realistic, therefore you can allow your character a little leeway as far as strength and ninja skills go. I don't mean to have a flying, rainbow, sparkledog who has adamantium claws (unless that's part of your RP, then go for it), but in game people would like to think they can take down prey with ease, and that's ok as far as I'm concerned...

Unless it is written like

"*BITES DEER IN NECK*..*DEER DIES* *DRAGS TO DEN*"

I think I've said before, but "mate beggars" don't bother me much. If they want a mate, whatever. I think many people resort to typing in caps because the chat flies by quickly with Local and General engaged and it can be difficult to fully understand the many ads for RP's or mates.

Obviously, as with anything else, it's when people spam the chat with their ads (with exceptions, see above) that I get annoyed. Or when they think that they can sell themselves via General, then it's just lewd and unnecessary.

I found another weird mate begger thing in general. It was like "Any male wolves...needing a mate...meet me...near the stone bridge....betrayed, alone, hurt, blah blah blah."
I started laughing in real life. And went I went over to the stone bridge the person causing this had a wolf cald "Blind Katie" and was laying in the water. That was just plain weird XD

Ugh. I HATE some of the people who are here on FH. I wasn't on IT (Found out about it too late D:), but at least I dont go around begging for mates and rape people >.>'

One thing that really bothers me is when you are a rouge/loner, or you have just roleplayed your way into a pack or something, and people magically know what your name is. It doesn't seem like much of a rant, but that really bothers me. I mean, come on. Real RP'ers would (in the roleplay) ask what your name was, e.c.t.

That just bothers me. Has this happened to anyone here before? o.O

It happens to me too. like when i join a rp or just stand around then they go: -wonders if Miki has a pack-
though, im not that bothered by them calling me on my name suddenly. its just a minor thing for me. nothing big.
