Rant about idiots thread

haha I was one of the "peacemakers" afore mentioned- some ego-busting comments to my attempts at keeping things respectful shut me up right quick tho XD.  And you have finally mentioned something that kind of irritates me at times- emo characters "my life is a pitch black hole, my soul is screaming inside. blah blah blah" it goes on and on.  Sometimes, I wish people wouldn't be so cookie- cutter with their characters- have a character with split personality disorder- now THAT would be fun ^^ (If you could pull it off that is XD)

  You know what I want in the forum? A option in peoples poll's, where I can click *bash creator of this poll*

  The amount of people who think adding a poll to their "I, Liek, So want Wingz!!!1!!one" posts and all that thinking that if they get a huge number of yes clicks that it's going to get ingame annoys the living daylights out of me. I have the urge to rage my pants off at them but I won't, I'm too sensible. But no matter how much they point to the poll to back them up, IT'S NOT GOING TO GET INGAME IF KOVU DOESN'T WANT TO ADD IT PEOPLE!

Here, on the forums I've been noticing this more and more...

Threads' will the title in All caps. Really? Is it needed people? It irks me when I see this..it makes me want to skip the thread and not even bother looking at it. Or, to just delete it.

Second; people saying they 'cannot download maps.' They don't even bloody try. Just because you don't have a fast net connection don't mean you can't try at the very lest.

If you can get on Fh without crashing, with your so called crappy net connection. You should be able to download a map, plain and simple.

Wow.. I'm rather such a thread would exist. o_o;

Pardon me if I seem.. close minded or like a simpleton here, but I just feel any thread bashing anyone, no names or names, is just wrong. These people could so easily see this kind of thread and feel bad about the things they've done. They're just new members, have some patience, a lot of patience, and help guide them on their way to being less... 'idiotic'.

Sure, we may end up repeating ourselves a lot, but it isn't that hard for one to repeat what they have already said, no?

And if it is such an issue, instead of ranting whole-heartily about it, make an organized thread to help the newer members, place links in your signature, link them in the post, give a friendly smile and go on your way.. ^^

Sorry if I seem overly positive, I'm just the kind of person who looks down on any kind of bashing, regardless of the extent to it. Hehe.. ^^;

  Most of the FH members never come on the forums, they would never read any guide we put up, and sometimes you just need to let it out.

  In most of these cases the offending people don't come on the forums, never read the rules or any guides that might be made.
 
  More often than not we do repeat ourselves over and over and over, but no one ever listens, which is when we start threads like this. The amount of times people have gone out of their way to explain wings won't be added just for another 2 or 3 topics about it to pop up, or another twenty or so people make a comment on how much they want wings, in one case I saw someone threatening Kovu (the creator) that they and most of FH would leave his game if they didn't have wings. In these cases they refuse to listen to reason.

  No one ever listens when you tell them not to claim territory on public maps because they're to busy "Ripping your throat out" to listen to anything you say.

  Making a nice thread for newbies would be nice, but the people who would be commenting on it or looking at it would be the people who aren't the issue, the majority of the trouble makers refuse to come on the forums or even read the rules.

  Sorry if this sounded rude or anything, but this is just how I see it. We are not bashing any one, we are raging about things that just won't stop.

As I see it.. this is bashing. You may see it as getting it off your chest, but doing so .. so .. openly is just wrong. x-x; And like I said, one requires much patience when dealing with members. Getting angry with them solves nothing, and when worse comes to worse, contact a staff member to settle the issue at hand.

Edit: Sorry if I come off as too positive again.. I just feel we shouldn't be quite so rude to those who are new to games, even if they make simple mistakes fixed by reading or going to English class. =3

Most of the members were from I.T, the game before this...They all came to the forum, at lest once seeing you need to make an account here in order to log into the game.

They had their chance to read the rules, but did they? No. They likely only came on, to make a account then buggered off onto the game. Never to log onto the forum again, aside from when they had trouble downloading the game, or when it crashes, or simply stops working for whatever reason.

Bashing or not, we are doing nothing wrong here. Simply, if you don't like it..well I'd just say leave the thread. Not trying to be rude, but yeah. You even see mods posting here..so clearly, this is allowed. But this is gonna turn into an argument in some way.

Nah Kyu- your statement about the "offenders" is spot on- On the other hand I totally understand where you are coming from chocolate bunny- I myself try hard not to hate people or rip on them, or even think badly until I've seen the other side of the story, but the fact remains that the majority of people complained about in this thread aren't annoying because they are "newbies" but annoying because they lack etiquette and common sense that is inexcusable and super annoying behaviour no matter how new to the game they are.  Heck, I'm all for being patient with newbies- I'm still one afterall XP.
