Active role-play communities?

I am curious,
are there any role-play communities with active, semi-lit, semi-realism but without the whole ranking system/need to display in username/look a certain way?

Basically just a group that wants to role-play/talk about plot/OCs?

I see you just joined the other day?  I just became active myself a short bit ago, but unfortunately, I've yet to find much more than semi-active roleplay threads, Warriors-related threads, or ads for separate RP websites.  I'm sure there's more here than that, but if there is, it's buried deep; this community's huuuge.  o.o;

But what you're describing--basically just a circle of roleplay buddies, right?--is exactly what I've been trying to find.  ;u; If you'd like to shoot me a friend request, my in-game username is Lowin (as typed).  I've been looking to make some friends~.

There is actually a section in which the most active groups and the groups with 200+ members in the forum. If you're still curious, try going to This Link and you'll find all the child boards of the most active/member-counting groups.
