i feel as if, it's okay to point out people's mistakes if you do so correctly.
this goes for character creation/art/roleplay

if you're going about it insultingly, and making them feel bad, then it's not okay.

if you approach it with a more friendly tone, maybe pointing out their mistake, but pointing out a good aspect and then some tips on how they could improve should be a proper way to do it.

now; when it comes to a roleplay that requires a 'realistic' factor (however most of them claim to be realistic yet have items n' stuff???? but thats for another time) then it's understandable if you turn them down, lightly.

Yeah, this post is pretty much a huge rant about the way people point out others mistakes. They don't do it with kindness, they do it with hate.
Correct approach:
Sorry, this is a realistic wolf RP, if you change your colours to be realistic you can join? ^_^
or
Hey, sorry to point this out but Nala is a bit more yellow than orange.

Most people's approach:
THIS IS A REALISTIC WOLF RP YOU IDIOT. GET OUTTA HERE. OMG UR RAINBOW. EW
or
NALA AINT DAT COLOUR IM THE ONLY REAL NALA HERE

Ain't nobody got time for 'dat
>.<

yeah, lol.
if people took a more friendly approach, i stg people would listen more.
after all, people dont learn if someone does not teach.

Ok can we all just please just remember this is a game to have fun it doesn't matter if there is more than one Nala or if that Nala is has a black pelt I could care less and even if I did care I wouldn't say anything. And for the whole unnatural color is how I think you put it people are just being creative so yes I agree there are a lot of drama queens and kings out there when it comes to making chars. I don't want to be rude I am jus stating a fact
We are all perfectly imperfect don't let anyone decide who you should be just be yourself if someone calls you a mistake thats ok cause none of us are perfect
