Game flashing?

Hey, I have recently got back into playing Feralheart after a year of absent but when I attempt to play the game every time I click or type it will flash black or my desktop background picture would flash up. Also when I type, several letters would appear instead of just one, making role playing or typing in general almost impossible.
Is there anyway I can fix this?

How old is your computer?
Maybe try clearing up your computer and unwanted files and the sort, remove FeralHeart and re-install in then restart your computer and try again. Also, try checking your keyboard to see how well it's working.

What exactly do you mean by flashing back?

The multiple letters might also be a result to a lag issue. I'm not sure what you mean by the flashing. Perhaps try lowering your settings? Following with what Kuro said, maybe it's the fact your computer might be our of date, or is jammed back with memory, causing it to struggle with running the game.

Alright, my computer is five/six years old that's probably the reason. I'll try delete some stuff on my computer to see if that helps though.

Check your rendering system settings too. If you're using Direct3D9 and have internet windows open,
that can cause some flashing. Use OpenGL if you're surfing the web at the same time as playing :3
