Mass Marking Help?

I downloaded the Legendary Mass Marking Pack and I'm sure I did everything right??

I pasted everything from the "Paste In Textures" folder into FH >> media >> textures.

I pasted the "markings.cfg" file into the main FH folder.

I then went onto the game and went to create my character. As I scrolled through the list of marking choices I didn't see anything new. I thought maybe a file was misplaced before I downloaded the Mass Markings, so I deleted everything FeralHeart-related from my computer, redownloaded the game, and redownloaded the Mass Markings. They still didn't show up. What could have possibly gone wrong?

I don't know...maybe that mass marking is removed our just outdated? Have you downloaded the Aug 22?

I actually tried downloading the Aug 22 pack, and the same thing happened. I do have a Macbook Air (I'm not sure if that's the problem".

Hmm, are ye sure ye replaced the files once ye pasted the cgf file? Check the markings.cgf that is currently in y'er Feral Heart folder to see if the Mass Markings/Aug 22 are listed.

I do not think that a Mac would be the cause of this b'cause the game hasn't actually changed and the files being added are the same file types FH is running on already.

I found this.

The first step is to download the actual files first, extract them if needed.

Done that? Ok, next step. Open the downloaded folder and explore it, should find images and a markings.cfg file.



Open that markings.cfg file with Notepad (right click the file, Open with, choose the program Notepad) and you might see stuff like this.



If your seeing the normal markings anyone would have like Cheetah, Bubbles etc then thats good, it is safe to replace the existing file (thats the next step) otherwise scroll to the end to find more instructions.

Open up your Feralheart folder and place that .cfg file into the folder and replace the existing one. Dont place it in any of the folders within.



Now still in the Feralheart folder click the "media" folder then the "textuers" folder and place all the marking images there.



You might find that the .cfg file you have downloaded only has the markings you wanted to download and not the original markings Feralheart has. Its not safe to replace the existing markings file in this situation because all the Feralheart markings will be gone!

So you will need to add the new markings to your existing markings.cfg file.

Now in your markings file you will see stuff like [Fbody], [Fhead], [Cbody], [Ctail], etc with the markings names and images next to it. You will have to copy and paste the new markings into the right one.

So copy the first part of the downloaded markings.

Any double [Fhead] or any of those can be deleted, so there is only one and its the one at the top of the "list".

Now that with all the downloaded markings until you've finished.

After that you can save by clicking "File" then "Save". Dont click "Save as"!

Lets open up Feralheart and see out new markings!

If you have followed the instructions correctly then you should see some new markings

For it to work, you have to copy and REPLACE the .cgf file so there is no duplicate. However, I advise keeping the default .cgf file somewhere else on your computer in case you want to get rid of the markings. That way, you don't have to redownload the whole game. I had a similar issue and copying and replacing the file fixed it.
