Black terrain when starting

hello everyone! i joined FH today,but i stumbled upon a problem already.

as soon as i pressed start, im starting in the black..void. i can run and do whatever i like but see nothing.

is this a common problem? if yes, is there any way to fix it?

Hey there Deathtail! Welcome to Feralheart!
I'm sorry you're experiencing problems already. Have you tried hitting the "Go Home" button in-game?
Click the Feather Icon, then the Home tab. Click Go Home.

If this doesn't do much, log into the site and go to User Panel. Type in your information again, and click "Go home" on the character this is happening on.

Is everything in your map black or just the terrain? Have you tried using the character reset option at the top right of the forum in the gold box? :

Character Reset

That will at least get you out of the map if you're stuck. It's possible that you are missing some files to your map or you saved something(s) wrong. Double check your terrain texture file and map's cfg files. Make sure the coding and names are all correct and that no essential map files are missing.

If that didn't help try uninstalling again but this time make sure that after uninstalling the game that you go back and delete the Feral Heart folder before reinstalling the game again (Be sure to have all your important files like presets etc backed up though)

You can also try switching between saving your terrain file as a png image then jpg then back to png. Sometimes that helps.
