Their name makes people think that they are mosquitoes.
They are 'spiders' because they have eight legs but they are mostly related to scorpions as they don't have 8 eyes.
They have long, thin legs but tiny bodies. (They sometimes creep me out owo)

(also, daddy long legs are actually related to mites and are not in the family arachnid, though they are under the genus araneae (if I got the two mixed up excuse me) another common myth is that they are the most toxic "spider", but they have no toxin or fangs at all. They have pincers used for grasping food. The true "most toxic spider" is the Brazilian Wandering Spider)

This creature's spanish name is based off the fact that it is commonly used for testing VACcines. (Edit: I got that mixed up, it's the other way around)
