Making my Own Markings??

Hello There!
As you can probably tell, I'm a noob.
rip.
From what I'm hearing, the game is currently down blah-blah-blah so I don't need this help at the moment.
BUT. I've been looking into finding a better set of markings for Chaos,, [[The grey kitty who is legit. ;v;]]
Annnnnnnnd,, I've had trouble with that. So, I --figured-- Why not make my own??
While I looked up videos and downloaded gimp, I'm mainly concerned about the following things;
-Will the marking appear on both sides of his head/body?
-Is there a way I can color them before hand?
[I've found a few presets such as Cheetwo that have different colors on markings, One of the mods has a character like this as well.]

-Are other people going to see the marking? Or will he just be a marshmallow?

The markings will appear on both sides of the bo
dy, no matter what.
No. No coloring beforehand, i think.
Presets are custom. You can't make a character with multicolored markings in the character creator.
Others will see your markings if you put them up for download.
That's it, i guess.

Heyo~ The thing I think you're talking about is a preset?

The images you provided were from a preset, however, markings are in-game and despite being make by someone, they can only be seen if downloaded by the other person and that other person would also be able to use them, however, a preset can be seen (once they have downloaded it) but only can be used by the person that made it, I think what you are in need of is a preset rather than new markings for your character. c:

Yeah-- I got this game over the summer and I haven't bothered with all of the features. Presets sound difficult,, But it's worth a shot. ;v; Thanks for your help.

Here I am again. ;-; I'm currently learning how to make a preset, but they're all two-sided. I need a one-sided preset. *Facedesk*

Why is this so difficult. Computers are difficult.

Well It's pretty easy to make a preset once you get into it.
I hope these tutorials will help you a bit:

But basically for one-sided preset you only need one thing.
For example:

Open gimp and create new picture (513x513 pixels)
Then go to feral heart->media->textures and copy cBodyShade to gimp (the background you just created).
Then go to feral heart->my_presets->reference and chose cBodyreference *this will help you with coloring*
Then copy cbody reference to the picture in gimp you opened earlier and paste it there.
Now you should see 3 layers in gimp (cBodyShade, cBodyref, Background).
Click on cBodyShade and make it multiply (It's in *layers* section in gimp)
then draw everything on background layer
After you're done with coloring save it as preset_(number)body.jpg  (in feral heart->my_presets->preset_(number you chose)
That should be it, then go to feral heart and see if it worked.
Same thing goes for head,tail,mane)

You CAN also make just a marking... You don't need to make a preset.

You could make a marking if you want, but people will probably see you as a white marshmallow unless everyone downloads your marking so It is kind of better to make a preset. It depends on you tho, it is your choice.

That's as far as I got. It wouldn't let me color though.
