FH will not install on MacBook Pro
« on: February 17, 2016, 02:26:39 am »
Hello! I recently got a MacBook Pro about a week after Christmas and FH will NOT install on the laptop. I am frustrated and confused as to why this is happening. It keeps saying something about a core failing to do something I think? I can't remember, but if someone could walk me through on how to download and install FH on my Mac that would be great. ^~^

Can ye try 'gain and take a screenshot of the error? Also, what version does y'er Mac run on? El Capitan, the latest Mac version does not let FH run. If the Mac version is the problem, ye'll need to revert to an older version of Mac.

Tmw you planned a ten minute nap but instead took a whole year.

Actually, I know how to easily run FH again after you've updated your mac, without having to go back to your previous version.
Grave Walker messaged me before a week or two 'bout that problem.

My FH did not work anymore after the update no matter what wine thing I downloaded or if I got xquartz, I did both of those and it just wouldn't open.
that is, until I got porting kit.

1) Download porting kit.  http://portingkit.com/en/
2) Once download, open and install, all that good stuff
3) Go to the library tab and drag and drop Feralheart into it
4) Now instead of clicking the actual FH app icon, you can open it by clicking portingkit, then library, then feralheart and play.

It also works for other PC games that may not work anymore with the updated mac version, but that's besides the point.
Hope your problem will be solved soon! :)

Okay, thank you both. I'll fiddle with the issue a bit more and see if I can't find a solution. Again, thank you!

Hey there! I am a fellow Mac pro user!
I have downloaded FH, and still do play it 'till this day.

I suggest perhaps downloading it off another computer and plopping it on a USB.

Another option.. What I suggest, is downloading Wineskin Winery (The Latest one if possible). After downloading, create a wrapper and load it together with Feral Heart. (After that, when you run FH. It will say some updaters are needed etc, press download! From there, it should work.

Good luck~
