If you're talking about adding anything custom made, as long as it's compatible with the version then it should be okej(?)

Ah. Well you could always make some and then set up a download for others to get in case they want it for their game c:

I think it should be alright, it's just like the old FH, but I'd probably go into the items.cfg manually. Due to the fact that old item packs are probably still configured to the old FH's items and will remove the new items that have been added.

Well you could always see if it'll work. Just go into the items .cfg and put it at the bottom if it doesn't have the old items included.

Yeah it should be fine, you'll just have to edit the items.cfg to include your items at the bottom of the list, this way it won't interfere with any of the new items.

I wouldn't recommend downloading new items, markings or other mods JUST yet. Unless you're willing to play with the .cfg, I'd wait until the creators make their packs 1.15 compatible.
